Jago Geerts is racing the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop

The organization of the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop is proud to announce that one of the best sand riders of the moment, Jago Geerts, has confirmed his participation in the event. Geerts will compete in the 500 class in which he will compete against Jeffrey Herlings and Brent van Doninck, among others.

Geerts fought for the world title in the MX2 class in the last few seasons and won no less than 24 Grand Prix’s. In the last three seasons he won the Grand Prix of Lommel, which is certainly a similar circuit to that of Lierop.

The 23-year-old Geerts, made the switch to the MXGP class this winter and will compete for the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team this year. A week after the race in Lierop, this championship will start in Argentina, making it an ideal training for Geerts before he travels there.
