On February 24-25th the French Elite Championship will kick off at Lacapelle Marival, where several MXGP Teams will do a last appearance before the first round of the World Championship in Argentina.
Home of an International race during several years, the club also organised the French MXGP in 2021 and expect to met another GP in the coming years but at the moment they focus on the French Championship, with again the opening round this year. And this event will have a taste of GP, as several Factory teams confirmed that they will race against the regular protagonists of the French series.
So alongside Gregory Aranda, Pierre Goupillon and Valentin Guillod (respectively MX2 and MX1 defending champions), Calvin Fonvieille, Tom Guyon, Maxime Desprey, Mathys Boisrame, Mathis Valin who are involved in the entire serie, we’ll have behind the gate several top teams with Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team (Jago Geerts and Maxime Renaux), Kawasaki Racing Team (Jeremy Seewer), Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing (Kay De Wolf, Lucas Coenen, Mattia Guadagnini), Red Bull KTM Factory Racing (Sacha Coenen), Monster Energy Triumph Racing (Mikkel Haarup, Camden McLellan), Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team (Thibault Bénistant, Andrea Bonacorsi), F&H Kawasaki (Quentin Prugnières), VRT Yamaha EMX250 Team (Karlis and Janis Reisulis, Ivano Van Erp) and Honda Motoblouz SR (Valentin Guillod, Kevin Horgmo).
More than 200 riders racing four different classes (MX1, MX2, Junior and 85) will be on track in a few days, with action on Saturday (85 qualifying and races, Junior qualifying) and on Sunday 24th (Junior races, timed practice and races for MX1 and MX2).
