Back in Paris, the Supercross is already successful at the U Arena
With a great entry list and a stadium already ‘sold out’ on Saturday, Paris confirmed to be the European capital of Supercross.
Thirty-three years ago a bike entered for the first time in the POPB in Paris, and another chapter of the Paris Supercross will be opened on November 18th and 19th as the new U Arena will met for the first time a Supercross. It will be the 35th SX of Paris (the last 3 editions took place in Lille), and the Arena will offer to the riders and fans a fantastic venue, with a huge size (same one as a US Stadium), high technology (sound system, lights, giant screen) and the best comfort (quality of the seats, visibility from any place) for the spectators. With such a big size the track will looks like an American one, for the first time in Paris.
Coming back to Paris the Supercross attract many top riders, who didn’t want to miss this edition in a new venue. Coming straight from the US where he’s now racing, Marvin Musquin (King of Lille SX last year) will be back on his homeland, happy to be back racing in front of his French fans; winner of the Monster Cup and the Straight Line, he is the main favourite. He will cross the Atlantic with a strong US squad, as he will travel with Zach Osborne (2017 US MX and SX champion, Jeremy Martin (#2 in US MX250 and second at Daytona SX), Cole Seely (factory Honda HRC rider, #7 in the US SX and #5 in the US MX), Dean Wilson (#8 in the US SX, #4 in the US MX and on the podium at the MX of Nations) and RJ Hampshire (winner of the US Grand Prix)! They will race against the best French SX riders, including Cédric Soubeyras (Triple French SX champion), Fabien Izoird (seven times French SX champion), Jordi Tixier (MX 2014 World Champion), Thomas Ramette (double UK SX champion) and many more.
With seven races each day and the famous Super Pole the program looks vey good, but it’s not enough and as usual there will be a strong FMX show! Five riders will compete each day, coming from Australia (Josh Sheehan, Jackson Strong), Spain (legendary Edgar ‘ET’ Torronteras) and France (David Rinaldo, Nicolas Texier) for a double exhibition.
