They come to race their peers and heroes at the 2014 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Kegums, Latvia to race for their home country's glory! This year was no exception, with 2013 winners Team Belgium jostling for the win alongside the USA, France and Great Britain.
29/09/2014 om 12:47Racing for Team Italy eight-times World Champion Antonio Cairoli was racing in the 250-class and started the weekend on a high note. Tony Cairoli: “I had a great qualifying race yesterday coming from last to win the MX2 class. That was good for Italy and put us in fifth place for today’s starting line. I knew I had to win or finish in the top three to have a chance to be on the podium.
29/09/2014 om 11:20At the MX des Nations in Latvia we saw a few nasty get offs. Chad Reed crashed in the start of the third moto. Filip Bengtsson lost control over his bike at the end of the wave section. Scott Columb made a salto mortala and Lukasz Lonka had a rodeo ride when he tried to jump over the bike of Ander Valentin.
28/09/2014 om 21:07There was a Napoleonic quality to way Team France came, saw and utterly conquered the 2014 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. 63,000 fans had to watch in wonder as the Monster Energy Kawasakis of Gautier Paulin, Dylan Ferrandis and Steven Frossard mullered the competition.
28/09/2014 om 15:55Team France has won the MX des Nations in front of Team Belgium and Team USA. Gautier Paulin won the third and final moto in front of Jeremy van Horebeek and Eli Tomac. Tomac came from outside of the top thirty back to third position. He was pressuring Jeremy van Horebeek when he stalled his bike and lost a lot of time. Tomac crossed the finish line in third position behind Paulin and van Horebeek.
28/09/2014 om 14:31Kevin Strijbos has won the second moto of the MX des Nations in Latvia. Strijbos passed Steven Frossard in the beginning of the race and kept him behind him in the rest of the race. Dean Wilson finished in third position in front of Tommy Searle and Fredrik Noren. Searle was the first MX2 rider who crossed the finish line and won the MX2 overall classification in front of Glenn Coldenhoff and Dylan Ferrandis.
28/09/2014 om 13:01The Frenchman Gautier Paulin has won the first moto of the MX des Nations (MX2-MXGP). Aleksandr Tonkov was leading in the beginning of the race but Paulin waited for a few laps and than he made the pass. He started to pull away from the rest of the field immediately and won the race in front of Ryan Dungey and Max Nagl.
28/09/2014 om 10:49Team Ireland(Martin Barr, Stuart Edmonds and Gordon Crockard) has taken the final transfer spot to the A final at the MX des Nations. In the B final they had a nice battle with Team Spain (Jose Butron, Ander Valentin and Jorge Zaragoza) but when Ander Valentin made a crash while riding in third position the advantage went to Team Ireland. Martin Barr managed to win the race in front of Jose Butron and Martin Michek.

28/09/2014 om 08:49Tim Gajser will not participate in todays MX des Nations. The Slovenian rider crashed in free practice yesterday and has broken two vertebrae in his back. Gajser didn't knew this and has ridden the qualifying heat in the open class.

27/09/2014 om 16:33The American Jeremy Martin had a nasty get off in the MX2 qualifying heat in Kegums, Latvia. Martin hurt his knee/ankle and it took him some time to get going again. We have a movie of the crash.
27/09/2014 om 16:12Team Belgium is on pole position for the MX des Nations in Latvia. Kevin Strijbos won the qualifying heat in the open class in front of Dean Wilson. Tanel Leok and Tim Gajser were fighting over third position. In the closing stages of the race it was Gajser, who broke several rips in practice, who made the difference and finished the race in third position.
27/09/2014 om 15:04The Italian Antonio Cairoli has won the MX2 qualifying heat at the MX des Nations in Latvia. Cairoli took a poor start and came back from outside of the top ten. During the race he passed riders like Jeremy Martin, Tommy Searle, Julien Lieber, and finally Glenn Coldenhoff for the lead and won the race. Coldenhoff held on to finish second and Jeremy Seewer came home in third position.
27/09/2014 om 14:07The Frenchman Gautier Paulin has won the qualifying heat of the MXGP class at the MX des Nations in Latvia. Paulin worked his way back up from sixth position to the lead and won the race. Behind it was Aleksandr Tonkov who was riding a really strong qualifying heat. Tonkov was riding in second position but with still a few laps to go he collided with Jeremy van Horebeek and crashed.
